Fighting Anti-Christian Sentiment
At Get The Trolls Out (GTTO), we believe that all forms of religious hate and discrimination must be challenged, including rising anti-Christian sentiment. As part of our mission to combat hate speech and promote tolerance, we work to raise awareness about the increasing hostility towards Christian individuals and communities across Europe.
There is a widespread perception among believers that the media perpetuates faith-based stereotypes. This negative stereotyping is often the result of religious illiteracy among journalists. While Christianity is the majority religion in Europe, this does not mean that Christian believers and churches are adequately represented in the media. Under-reporting and misrepresentation by the media are also common problems for Christian issues and groups.

Anti-Christian Intolerance and Discrimination in Europe by OIDAC Europe
In its latest report published in November 2023, the Observatory on Intolerance and Discrimination against Christians in Europe (OIDAC Europe) documented 748 anti-Christian hate crimes in 30 different countries in 2022, rising from 519 in 2021. Attacks ranged from arson attacks, graffiti, desecrations, and thefts targeting Christian places of worship to fait-related physical attacks, insults, and threats against Christians. These numbers match the data of the OSCE hate crimes report, which recorded 792 anti-Christian hate crimes in 2022.
